Boilerplate
Munib is the digital layer between worshippers and Oman's mosques: a page for every mosque in the register of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, carrying the ministry's adhan times, the Iqamah time that mosque reports, and the lessons it runs; and, at mosques named in a written no-objection, live translation of the Friday khutbah on the worshipper's own phone in English, Urdu, Bengali or Hindi, with no account and no app. Qur'an verses are never machine-translated: the Arabic comes from a verified source with its reference, and no translation of a verse is shown until the ministry approves a translation list. There is no worshipper account — no name, no number — and Munib stores no location.
What we do not claim
We are not first at anything, we are not approved by the ministry, and we are not its partner unless a signed agreement says so. Mosque data is attributed to the ministry under the Open Government Licence — attribution, not endorsement.
What is still pending
- The no-objection;
- the confirmed wording of the entrance notice;
- the approved Qur'an translation list per language;
- MTCIT's view;
- the Ministry of Information's view.
We give the whole list to anyone who asks.
Images and logo
Files and their usage rules are in the press kit. There is no photograph of a prayer hall, a worshipper or an imam, and no screenshot of a real translated khutbah — none of those exists.
