Cambridge is known as the city of prestigious universities, parks, poetry and punting but these aren't what helped it bag second place, it was its farmers markets.

Cambridge is the second-best area for farmers markets per square mile - who would've known!

However, it's high prices and expensive living costs sitting at around £1,981 per month couldn't compete with Birkenhead which is almost half the price.
