Alfa Plam backs rise of Belgrade stock exchange indices - SeeNews
BELGRADE (Serbia), August 17 (SeeNews) - The share indices of the Belgrade Stock Exchange closed Tuesday's session up, with household appliances maker Alfa Plam [BEL:ALFA] leading the blue-chip gainers, bourse data showed.
Alfa Plam's shares closed 12.02% higher at 38,000 dinars on Tuesday, bourse data showed.
Industrial gases maker Messer Tehnogas [BEL:TGAS] generated the highest turnover of 1.0 million dinars among the blue-chips, as 67 of its shares changed hands. Messer's shares closed down 0.65% at 15,002 dinars.
The BELEX15 index, which tracks the most liquid shares on the Belgrade Stock Exchange, closed 0.31% higher at 810.34 points.
The broader BELEXline, a free-float market capitalisation weighted index, closed up 0.49% at 1,720.31 points.
The bourse's total turnover grew to 258.7 million dinars ($2.6 million/2.2 million euro) on Tuesday, from 162.6 million dinars on Monday, as 53 transactions were carried out.
Trading on the multilateral trading facility (MTP) of the stock exchange generated a turnover of 248.5 million dinars.
Trading in Treasury bonds contributed 7.8 million dinars to the total turnover on the stock exchange on Tuesday.
